Helping leaders and athletes build the trust to achieve more by working less.
What?
As an AI strategist, conference speaker, meditation teacher, DJ and executive coach, Rob Robertson is an energetic mentor to CEO’s, professional athletes and leaders who wish to achieve more by working less. As a DJ, this is useful as a professional conference speaker and enteriner, incorporating music and sometimes dance therapy at conferences to shift people’s energy. As an executive coach and AI strategist, Rob has a deeper understanding of cultural change, can help release baggage, empower Inner trust, and, supported by technology and AI, offload the boring bits so you can have more fun and get more of what you want.
Who?
Two kinds of people end up working with Rob. The first are business owners or CEOs whose companies can’t scale without them. They need a smarter business strategy and leadership, built on the right balance of AI and automation tools, to shift the way people think and work.
The other are leaders, athletes and coaches who get found out the moment the pressure comes on. It’s the same underlying inner-doubt problem, not a time-management problem. While Rob, as an AI strategist, helps with the tech, it goes much deeper, working at the emotional fitness level that empowers synchronicity and flow, built around his signature program, using the Synchronicity Grid.
Why?
This passion for helping people use the principles of synchronicity and flow to raise human performance in sport and business comes from Rob’s history of struggle with self-doubt, stress and anxiety. Living in his head used to be the safe place to avoid uncomfortable feelings of fear and anger that he did not understand. This self-doubt, while working in aggressive leadership cultures, deflated his productivity and gave him the desire to learn strategies to support work cultures so others don’t feel as he did.
His inner growth journey, empowered by Emotional Fitness, has been a seismic shift from hiding in the head to being empowered from the heart for real inner trust, synchronicity, and flow.
This inspired his work with professional athletes, CEOs, and conference delegates to understand the interplay among emotions, inner pain, synchronicity and flow, empowering inner trust and emotional Wellbeing to get more of what you want. This is the inner energy source that creates our health, passion and future events.
Teams that know who we are, built around self-esteem and supportive self-governing cultures, supported by smarter AI and collaboration technology, transform team trust; fueled by the synchronicity and flow of empowered people, they lead to more predictable success in sports and business results. Supported by AI yet interrupted by real human wisdom and inner trust.
The outcome is real inner trust, freedom, team creativity, passion, and growth, leading to more consistent productivity and team performance, consistently at their best in sports and business.
Leaders Are the Bottleneck, Not the Technology
Most businesses don’t have a technology problem. They have a decision problem wearing a technology costume — and no tool can get past a bottleneck unless it’s allowed through.
According to the Employers and Manufacturers Association (EMA) New Zealand July 2026 survey, 83% of NZ businesses use AI, yet only 13% have a policy for it. And a staggering 12% of the workforce stays inside the software stack you paid for—the lowest rate in the world.
Pause on that. Your people didn’t wait for IT procurement. They didn’t wait for the offsite. The technology arrived through them. This is a people problem, not an IT problem.
THE PEOPLE PROBLEM
When 88% of your team don’t use the AI business tools you supplied, that isn’t rebellion. It’s a cry for smarter strategy and better technology that actually aligns with their own work vision, values and a purpose that excites them. It’s talented people refusing to let outdated internal bottlenecks and information silos slow down their output. You don’t have a compliance problem—you have a people, systems, and strategy alignment problem
THE REAL PROBLEM
Most leadership teams think they have a ‘technology problem.’ They want to know which AI tools are the best to buy, which license to assign, or which vendor to trust.
They’re wrong. They have a decision problem wearing a technology costume. No tool can unblock an organisation where decision-making remains centralised, risk-averse, and bureaucratic. AI accelerates whatever culture it touches: if your decisions are slow, AI just makes you fail faster.
WHAT CAN BE DONE?
Stop trying to build a moat around tools your people are already using on their phones. Shift your leadership focus from restricting the technology to empowering the team to create the strategy; then they are the best people to re-architect how your business runs and makes decisions.
As an AI strategist, Rob Robertson is the founder of Unboxed Operating Systems, a technology strategy partner business he started in late 2013. This provides the tools and real-world business applications for his keynote at conferences, executive team planning days or leadership offsites.
Two Paths Forward
If you run a business, you may have built it. You’re the most capable person in it. And that has quietly become the problem — every consequential decision still routes through you, and the tools you’ve bought to fix it keep stalling at the same point. Rob Robertson works with owners and leadership teams of New Zealand businesses to change productivity and culture. Using Keynotes, strategy days, and executive coaching, with the Unboxed OS building the technology operating system underneath it all.
If you compete, coach or want more from yourself in business, you can fake it till you make it. Yet, by contrast, in sport, under pressure, you get found out fast if you don’t have a real foundation of self-esteem and trust. Sport has been Rob’s massive learning ground for everything he teaches. I mentor professional athletes, coaches, and high-performance teams; he runs retreats and leadership offsites driven by tools that turn anxiety into trust, synchronicity, and flow.
